I registered NAmedia.com (short for Name Administration Media) shortly after visiting the Cayman Islands in late 2001. I was an early Internet entrepreneur and adopter, flirting with Price Per Acquisition, Lead Generation and Affiliate Programs and had always dreamt of an off-shore beach lifestyle. A few months later I found myself living that dream and thinking how surreal it was that I had arrived permanently in a tropical paradise. It was a hemisphere and world-away from the life I enjoyed in chilly Western Canada. I remember feeling very nervous and surprisingly naked after liquidating my worldly belongings to finance the move. One typical Tuesday morning in February I was sitting in the office of my beach home when it occured to me that NameAdministration.com (my original name of choice) had quietly expired after the previous owner failed to renew it. I hand-registered NameAdministration.com that day. It would be several months more before abandoning the affiliate programs and lead generation side of the business, to focus exclusively on domain names.

Nine years later at the beginning of 2010, I can hardly believe the changes in my life and that of the company which brought me so much prosperity. NAmedia.com has become a leading domain name administrator and Website Developer. We manage one of the most valuable privately owned catalogs of domain names on the Internet. We’ve painstakingly selected these names – slowly and methodically, over the course of ten years. It represents an irreplaceable life’s work - an enormous amount of effort, quietly exerted in anonymity and silence. But the work speaks for itself. An audience of tens of millions of visitors each month, coming in a trickle to individual names, which feed into a torrent like Niagara Falls. We have hundreds of thousands of names bringing a collective audience larger than some of the largest websites on the Internet. I am very proud of the collection I’ve managed to cobble together. It is like nothing else on the Internet.
